SALISBURY, Md. - A veteran-owned manufacturing company in Salisbury has announced an expansion that will add dozens of jobs.
RDI Wire & Cable Solutions, Inc. says it plans to add 50 new employees to its current workforce of 20 over the next three years, including workers who were displaced when the Labinal Power Systems’ plant in Salisbury closed last month.
RDI, which provides products for the military, aerospace, automotive, and engineering industries, says it expects to invest a minimum of $375,000 on upgrades to its facility to accommodate the increase in workers, including new machines, computers and furniture.
To support the expansion, the Maryland Department of Commerce has approved a $100,000 conditional loan through the Maryland Economic Development Assistance Authority and Fund (MEDAAF). Additionally, the Salisbury-Wicomico Economic Development Corporation will provide a $10,000 conditional loan. The company is also eligible for a number of state and local tax credits.
