REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.- Schellville has exceeded expectations. So much so, organizers are making changes to keep things fun and safe.
The Christmas village remains open and free, but you are now encouraged to reserve a timeslot online. Timeslots are from 5-7 and 7-9. You can show up without a reservation, but organizers say expect longer wait times as people with a reservation will be let in first.
"We have off site parking at Epworth and the Little League field. DelDot will be directing that. We have four free trollies that will be taking folks back and forth every night so I recommend heading there first versus trying to pack in at the outlets," said Alyssa Titus with Schell Brothers.
Schellville will also be opening earlier at 2 p.m. for senior citizens and families with young children. Not all the attractions will be open but you can still take pictures and go inside the small buildings along Schellville.
Schellville is also asking for more volunteers. right now the Christmas village is open Thursday through Sunday but starting December 16 it will be open daily. It will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas day.
