ONLEY, Va.- The Accomack County Sheriff's Office has arrested a suspect for murder and related charges after a man was found dead Tuesday night in the parking lot of the Royal Farms store in Onley.
According to Sheriff Todd Wessells, deputies responded to the convenience store just after 11 p.m. for a report that a man was assaulted and in cardiac arrest.
Upon arrival, deputies found 30-year-old David Anthony McCain, of Onancock, dead in his car. He was taken to the Norfolk Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
An investigation led to warrants being obtained for Xzaviyor Snead, 19, of Painter. He is being charged with first-degree murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Snead is currently being held without bond in the Accomack County Jail.
Wessells said the investigation into the homicide is continuing.
