FRUITLAND, Md,- Twin sisters, Trina Townsend and Tina Thomas, both from Wicomico County, were guests on The Steve Harvey Show on Thursday. The twins were Harvey's guests for a holiday special episode, "All I Want For Christmas."

Trina and Tina grew up inseparable, but the amount of time they were able to spend together changed after Tina got married and started a family. Trina wanted to find a special way to spend bonding time over the holiday with her twin, so she decided to contact Steve Harvey.

"I contacted The Steve Harvey Show probably around September of this year because I really wanted to spend more time with my sister during the holidays. Thanksgiving was coming up, Christmas was coming up and I wanted to express to them how I really missed my twin. To just spend time with her for Christmas, that's all I wanted," Trina explained.

Tina said she was a little surprised when she was contacted by the show about her twin.

"I'm like, 'Oh no! What did you tell them, what did you say?' Because I have a very large family and I know my sister is very needy. She's always calling and trying to chime in and spend time even when I don't have time she wants to make time," Tina said.

The twins flew out to Harvey's studio in Chicago in November to share their story, which aired Thursday. The twins said the experience and spending time together was awesome and eye opening.

Trina said over the three-day period she and her sister spent in Chicago, she could see where she could be less selfish with wanting to spend time with her sister and that too much time together can be too much.  Tina said she took away from the experience to plan and be more compromising in spending time with her twin sister.

Both sisters said no matter what, they will always have their special bond and they look forward to spending the Christmas holiday together.
