OnCCAMBRIDGE, Md. - Sheriff's deputies in Dorchester County have arrested two people on drug charges in two separate cases.
On On Thursday, Sept. 8, a sheriff's deputy went to a vacant house on Payne Road in North Dorchester for a reported suspicious person. When he arrived, the department says the deputy found 33-year-old Tyrell Jones of Federalsburg, Md. sitting behind the wheel of a Lincoln. When the deputy approached the car, he reportedly spotted two baggies on the front seat, one containing cocaine and the other marijuana. Jones was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, two counts of possession of marijuana and trespassing. He was released pending action by the District Court.
The second arrest was also made on Sept. 8 when members of the Cambridge and Dorchester Narcotics Enforcement team assisted by members of the Dorchester County Narcotics Task Force executed a search and seizure warrant at a home on Robbins Street in Cambridge. 49-year-old Troy Lee Wongus Jr. was allegedly found to be in possession of cocaine, marijuana and paraphernalia used for packaging cocaine. He was arrested and charged with possession with Intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. The suspect was incarcerated on a $200,000 bond.
