WOOLFORD, Md.- Maryland State Police are investigating a two-vehicle accident in Dorchester County.
Police say the incident happened just before 6 p.m. On Dec. 17 on Taylors Island Rd. in front of the Woolford General Store.
According to police, Lynne Avella was driving a Chevy Trailblazer east on Route 16, while Angela Carrier traveled west in a Ford Mustang.
Police say Avella attempted to make a left turn to the parking lot of the Woolford General Store, when Carrier's vehicle struck the right passenger side of the vehicle.
Police say both drivers were flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
The investigation is still ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time.
