CAMBRIDGE, Md.- A man who was mistakenly released from the Dorchester County Detention Center on Wednesday is back behind bars.
Sheriff James Phillips said numerous phone tips helped law enforcement locate 19-year-old Dontay Richard Johnson Jr.,who was taken into custody shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday in the Maces Lane area of Cambridge.
According to police, Johnson, whose last known address was in Cambridge, was being held on $100,000 bond in the detention center while awaiting trial for his alleged involvement in an assault that took place in Cambridge.
Johnson is now being held without bond in the detention center.
