DENTON, Md.- Denton police say they are searching for a suspect wanted for robbing a PNC Bank Wednesday afternoon.
Police say it happened around 1:20 p.m. Wednesday at the bank on South 5th Avenue in Denton.
No injuries were reported, according to police. Police said the suspect passed a note to the teller demanding money and indicating that he had a gun, yet no gun was displayed .
Police said the suspect then ran out of the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. He was last seen heading in the direction of Legion Road, according to police.
Authorities say a K-9 team from the Caroline County Sheriffs Office managed to make a short track for about a quarter mile towards the center of town. Agencies from the Caroline County Sheriff's Office, Ridgely Police Department as well as the Maryland State Police Crime Scene Unit assisted with the investigation.
Police say the suspect is described as a black male and was last seen wearing faded jeans, a dark colored jacket and a black knit cap.
