DOVER, Del. - The Delaware State Police have arrested a 19-year-old suspect following a shooting at a soccer field earlier this month.
Police say a large party was being held at the field on Lewis Drive on July 2nd. Police arrived on the scene just after 6:30 p.m. on reports of a shooting. There, they found a 30-year-old woman had been shot, as well as two cars.
Investigation led officers to identify Demetrice Hill, 19, of Dover, as one of the suspects in the shooting.
Yesterday, July 27th, police searched Hill’s home and arrested him. Hill has been charged with the following:
-Possession of a Firearm by a Person Under 21 (Felony) – 2 counts
-Carrying a Concealed Firearm (Felony)
Hill was taken to Sussex Correctional Institution on $45,000 cash bond.
The Delaware State Police say this is still an active investigation.
