SALISBURY, Md. - Officials with the Office of the State's Attorney for Wicomico County say Bryant Brown-Clark, a 19-year-old Salisbury man, has been sentenced to twenty-six years in prison with all but fourteen years suspended. The October 1 sentencing follows his July 29 conviction on two counts of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, two counts of Firearm Use in a Crime of Violence and related charges.

The charges stem from an incident on October 16, 2025. Officials say Wicomico County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a reported shooting on Mohawk Avenue in Salisbury, where police say witnesses declined to provide information about the incident to investigators. Deputies were then called to the nearby Wicomico Nursing Home, where they found a stray bullet had entered a patient's room.
Brown-Clark was later identified as a suspect and arrested on October 25, 2025 after deputies found him driving a stolen car. He reportedly fled from the moving car to a nearby home, where he was apprehended. According to the Sheriff's Office, the shooting appears to have been an attempt by Brown-Clark to kill a member of a rival gang.
Officials say sentencing was postponed after Brown-Clark's conviction in July to allow for a pre-sentence investigation to be conducted. At sentencing, the State requested a sentence of forty-three years to be served actively without suspended time or probation. That request was due to Brown-Clark's reported poor history on probation. He had previously been convicted on charges of Illegal Possession of a Regulated Firearm and Unauthorized Removal of a Motor Vehicle, then placed on probation for those offenses four months prior to the 2025 shooting. Because of this, Brown-Clark currently faces Violation of Probation proceedings.
