Around 10:10 p.m. on December 2, police say a Toyota 4Runner was traveling in the right lane of Sussex Highway south of Brickyard Road. A pedestrian who was wearing dark clothing and not carrying a flashlight was attempting to cross Sussex Highway southbound from the center median at the same time. The pedestrian crossed in the path of the Toyota and was struck in the right lane.

Governor Wes Moore has announced a new adult vaccine program intended to expand access to critical immunizations for uninsured and underinsured Marylanders. The program will be administered by the Maryland Department of Health and will provide recommended vaccines to Marylanders aged 19 and older for free.

The Delaware Transit Corporation has announced that DART statewide service changes will go into effect Sunday, November 16. These changes come after DTC received feedback from riders and the public through five public hearing workshops that were held in September, as well as online feedback submissions.

The Fire Marshal's Office says shortly after 9:30 p.m. on November 15, the Laurel Fire Department and other assisting mutual aid fire companies arrived on scene in the 32000 block of Sussex Highway. There they found a single family home with fire and smoke showing. The home was occupied at the time of the fire, but firefighters were able to enter the home and remove an unresponsive man. Firefighters and EMS immediately began performing life saving measures before transporting the man to an area hospital. He is currently in critical condition.
