SUSPECT SEARCH

GRASONVILLE, MD– The Queen Anne’s County Office of the Sheriff is searching for a suspect who allegedly assaulted a deputy before fleeing Friday night. 

Police say 19-year-old Jaden Austin assaulted an officer near the intersection of Main Street and Station Lane shortly before 4 p.m. on June 28. 

He then reportedly fled.

Authorities searched for Austin until approximately 8:10 p.m., when the Office of the Sheriff announced Austin had not been found. 

Police continue to search for Austin, who reportedly has a previously active warrant for second degree assault. 

He is described as a Black male, 6 feet 2 inches tall and 150 pounds, last seen wearing a white sleeveless shirt and black shorts, according to police.

Police do not know if the suspect is armed, but say there is no threat to the community.
