OCEAN CITY, MD– Maryland's Department of Natural Resources says a longfin albacore caught off Worcester County's coast set a new state record.
Marc Spagnola, of Berlin, reeled in the 78-pounder aboard the Instigator on Sept. 21 before weighing it on a certified scale at Sunset Marina.
The catch broke a 21-year Atlantic Division record set at 74 pounds in 2004, according to DNR.
