CAMBRIDGE, MD - The Deputy State Fire Marshal of Maryland has announced the arrest of a Cambridge man on arson and multiple other charges in relation to an arson on Muir Street earlier this year.
According to the Fire Marshal’s Office, investigation into a fire on Muir Street in Cambridge on September 23rd revealed the cause to be arson. Following a months-long investigation, Roberto O’Donald Gross, 33, was identified as a suspect according to the Fire Marshal’s Office. Gross was located on December 27th and taken into custody without incident.
Gross has been charged with first and second degree arson, first and second degree malicious burning, home invasion, burglary, and attempted manufacture of a destructive device. He was taken to Dorchester County Detention Center without bond. Gross faces up to 144 years of incarceration and/or $145,000 in fines if convicted of all charges.
