CAROLINE CO., MD - The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office has suspended one of their deputies as he faces assault charges in connection to a domestic incident.
The Sheriff’s Office says Sgt. Keith Collison, a 9-year-veteran of the Sheriff’s Office, was charged with second-degree assault related to the domestic incident on April 21, 2025. On April 22, police say Collison was suspended with pay while the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division conducts the investigation.
The Sheriff’s Office has also launched an administrative investigation, per agency policy.
Police say Collison was released following an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner. A trial is currently scheduled for June 9, according to online court records.
