CAROLINE COUNTY, MD - In celebration of its 250th anniversary, Caroline County is making history once again, this time through a distinctive tribute by the Sheriff's Department. The law enforcement agency has unveiled new badges designed to encapsulate the rich heritage of the county.
Decorated with symbolism, the badges serve as a visual narrative of Caroline County's past. At the apex of each badge, the inaugural sheriff takes pride of place, an homage to the roots of law enforcement in the region. Surrounding this central figure is an image that includes depictions of both the original and current courthouse, providing a visual journey through the evolution of Caroline County's legal infrastructure.
Notably, the badges also feature representations of the original and current sheriff's offices, underscoring the continuity of the department throughout the years. To complete the ensemble, a challenge coin has been integrated into the collection, offering a tangible token of commemoration.
