CHINCOTEAGUE, Va. - The Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company announced the 89th foal of the year is officially here!
They say the nor'easter brought them the surprise chestnut filly, whose mom is Jessica's Sandy. Fire officials add they knew the mare would foal soon after vet checks on Saturday.
The filly was first spotted today.
Officials say they will be releasing more information about Chincoteague's newest arrival to the herd soon.
