DOVER, Del. - City officials say a software issue is forcing them to extend the tax deadline.
Officials say the issues are related to the software program that generates the tax bills. Due to that, the city is extending the tax deadline from July 31 to Aug. 31. There will be no fines assessed through the end of August, according to the city.
The city says if residents choose to make a payment before the tax bill comes, they still may do so, but must pay the difference upon receipt.
