Commercial Fire Singes DSWA Generator Building

The Millsboro Fire Company responded to a commercial fire at the Delaware Solid Waste Authority landfill yesterday around 1:20 p.m.

GEORGETOWN, DE– The Millsboro Fire Company responded to a commercial fire at the Delaware Solid Waste Authority landfill yesterday around 1:20 p.m.

Crews arrived at the scene on Landfill Lane to find a methane-fueled generator building with an active fire inside. 

The Georgetown Fire Company, Laurel Fire Department, Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department and Blades Fire Company assisted with suppression of the flames. 

Assistant Chief Troy Virden had command of the incident.
