KENT COUNTY, DE - A Clayton man was arrested for a 6th offense DUI Saturday afternoon. 

Delaware State Police report that on May 11th, at approximately 3:03pm, a trooper responded to a Ford Taurus that had crashed into a mailbox and a fence on the 700 block of Wheatley's Pond Road. 

The trooper on scene spoke to the driver, identified as 60-year-old Victor Tusso, of Clayton, Delaware. Tusso showed signs of impairment and the trooper administered a Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, according to DSP. 

After the tests, Tusso was arrested for driving under the influence. Further investigative measures through a computer check showed that he had five prior DUI-related convictions. 

Additionally, DSP say "during a search of Tusso and his car, the trooper found a small amount of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia."

No one was injured during the crash. 

Victor Tusso was charged with the below crimes and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $6,450 secured bond. 

- 6th Offense DUI 

- Possession of a Controlled Substance

- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

- Driving Off of the Roadway
