Shooting investigation generic

DOVER, DE - The Delaware State Police is investigating a shooting over the weekend that left one victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

According to police, they were first called to Bayhealth Hospital Sunday, November 19th, just before 3 a.m. on reports of a 44-year-old Dover man who had been shot.

Authorities say they then learned the victim was reportedly asleep in his camper on a property on North Old Mill Road when an unknown suspect entered the camper and shot him in the upper body multiple times. The suspect then fled as the victim found a neighbor for help. 

There is currently no additional information on the suspect, according to the Delaware State Police. Detectives ask anyone with information on the shooting to contact them at 302-698-8504.
