DENTON, MD- A firefighter was treated for a heat-related illness after fighting a fire in Caroline County.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal says a chicken house on Tuckahoe Road near Denton caught fire around 3 a.m. on Tuesday.
They say one firefighter was taken to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center for heat exhaustion.
Investigators estimate the damage at $525,000.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
