Laurel Hit and Run Suspect 123023

LAUREL, DE – The Laurel Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a person linked to a hit-and-run collision. The incident happened on December 30, 2023, at approximately 11:10 a.m. in the Food Lion parking lot on Sussex Highway in Laurel.

Authorities report that the suspect was driving a green pickup truck, believed to be a Chevrolet Silverado. The vehicle was involved in a collision with another legally parked car in the parking lot. Following the accident, the driver fled the scene, heading southbound on Sussex Highway.

The Laurel Police Department has obtained surveillance video screenshots of the driver, which they are circulating in hopes of gaining leads. 

In the photos, you can see a white man with facial hair, brown hair, a brown hat and a grey sweatshirt.

This case is currently active, and the police are appealing to anyone with information about the incident, the driver's identity, or other related criminal activities.
