Denton House Fire Causes Estimated $160,000 in Damage

DENTON, Md.- The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal is trying to figure out the cause of a house in Denton.

The fire at the single family home on Butler Court was reported shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday.

According to investigators, it started on the outside porch.

It took 50 firefighters approximately 30 minutes to control the one-alarm blaze, investigators said.

No one was injured, but investigators estimate the fire caused about $160,000 in damage to the structure and its contents.
