KENT COUNTY, Md. -- Maryland State Police said they arrested a Galena man on sexual assault charges after an investigation revealed that he allegedly raped two women and assaulted another person. Police believe there may be more victims.
MSP's Criminal Enforcement Division, Upper Shore Region, arrested Mark Charles Blazejak, 21, of Galena, Thursday after an investigation that started in August.
According to police, a victim reported to MSP that she was raped by Blazejak. Police investigated, and MSP said troopers identified a second victim who had been raped by Blazejak within six months of the first victim. Through this investigation, state police also said they identified a third victim who was assaulted by Blazejak.
Blazejak was arrested Thursday in Centreville. His charges include: two counts of second-degree rape, three counts of third-degree sex offense, two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, two counts of false imprisonment, and one count of fourth-degree sex offense.
Blazejak is waiting for a hearing with a judge in the Circuit Court.
