DOVER, Del.- The Dover Police Department says at least two people were injured following a shooting that happened outside of the Allure Nightclub early Wednesday morning.
According to police, officers were called to the club, located at 865 N. DuPont Highway, shortly before 1:30 a.m. for a report of a shooting. Three victims were transported to Kent General Hospital via private vehicles for treatment.
Police say the incident is believed to have taken place on property immediately next the nightclub's parking lot as the club was closing for the night, when a group of people were involved in an altercation and an unknown suspect began firing.
One of the victim, a 28-year-old man from Seaford, suffered a gunshot wound to his left bicep that will require surgery, according to police.
Police say a 26-year-old women from Dover, suffered a graze wound to the left side of her head and was treated and released. A 32-year-old woman, also from Dover, reported that she was grazed by a bullet on her left hand. However, police said there was no visible injury and she declined medical treatment.
