MAC Senior Center Funding "Not In Crisis"

SALISBURY, Md. - The MAC Senior Center issued the following statement regarding closures due to COVID-19 concerns:

"Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, all senior centers in Maryland have been closed indefinitely.

That includes the Salisbury-Wicomico Senior Services Center housed at MAC on 909 Progress Circle in Salisbury, and the Willards Senior Center.

In addition, MAC’s Life Bridges Program activities also will be closed indefinitely.

In addition, tax preparation assistance appointments scheduled for Tuesdays will be suspended indefinitely. People are encouraged to find other resources to get their taxes done.

Home-delivered meals will continue normal operation.

At this time, other programs of MAC, to include case management, ombudsman, guardianship and health insurance counseling, also will continue.
