DOVER, Del.- Dover police are investigating a robbery that left a man injured.
The incident took place around 3 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of the Wawa at 298 South DuPont Highway.
According to police, three young boys approached the 56-year-old victim. Two of the boys allegedly struck the man in the face and head as the third one watched.
The blows reportedly caused the man to briefly lose consciousness, police said.
The boys, who were described to be between the ages of 15 and 18, were then seen running away toward the area of Capital Green. One of the suspects is said to have had black hair with blonde tips/highlights, police said.
The victim was treated at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for multiple injuries to his head and face but has since been released.
