Low-Cost Rabies Vaccination Clinic Coming to Talbot County

Easton, MD – The Talbot County Health Department’s Office of Environmental Health is hosting a Drive-Thru Rabies Vaccination Clinic on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at 215 Bay Street, Easton, MD 21601.

To help protect pets and the community, rabies vaccinations will be available for dogs, cats, and ferrets at a cost of $6.00 per pet. Payment must be made by cash or check only. Pre-registration is encouraged—pet owners can call 410-770-6880 to secure their spot.

To ensure the safety of all attendees:
• Dogs must be on a leash
• Cats and ferrets must be in a secure carrier
• Pets must be at least 12 weeks old to receive the vaccine

Maryland law requires that all dogs and cats over four months old be vaccinated against rabies. In this area, rabies is most commonly seen in raccoons, bats, foxes, and skunks, and unvaccinated pets that roam outdoors are at high risk. Signs of rabies in animals include sudden changes in behavior, difficulty walking, drooling, paralysis, and aggression.
