MARDELA SPRINGS, MD - Wicomico County State’s Attorney Jamie Dykes has announced the sentencing of a man convicted of manufacturing, possessing, and conspiring to distribute large amounts of cocaine.

Prosecutors say Anthony Conway, 37, of Mardela Springs was convicted of various drug-related charges on April 25. The charges, according to Dykes, stem from a months-long investigation into drug dealing in Wicomico County. Prosecutors say Conway was one of multiple people arrested during the investigation.

On April 25, Conway pleaded guilty one count of possession of a large amount of cocaine, one count of manufacturing cocaine, and two counts of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute cocaine. A Wicomico County Circuit Court Judge sentenced Conway to 40 years with all but 20 suspended. Out of those 20, Conway was given a mandatory minimum sentence of five years.
