SNOW HILL, MD - The Maryland State’s Attorney for Worcester County has announced the sentencing of a 29-year-old man convicted of sexually abusing a 15-year-old in Ocean City.

According to the State’s Attorney, Alvin Lee Redmon Jr., of Lusby, MD, sexually abused the minor over several years in multiple jurisdictions including Ocean City. The victim was 15 years old at the time, and Redmon was the boyfriend of the victim’s mother.

The victim first reported the abuse in Calvert County, MD in November 2021, and Redmon was later found guilty after a 2-day trial this past July in the Worcester County Circuit Court. 

On December 15th, Worcester County Circuit Court Judge Beau H. Oglesby sentenced Redmon to the maximum sentence of 25 years. Assistant State’s Attorney Mary-Ann Burkhart prosecuted the case against Redmon.
