MILLSBORO, DE - The Delaware State Police have arrested a man in Millsboro on multiple drug and weapons charges following a DUI investigation over the weekend. 

According to police, a trooper saw a Chevrolet Colorado committing multiple traffic violations near Indian Mission Road and John J Williams Highway just after 5 p.m. on Saturday. Police say the safety of surrounding vehicles and property were endangered, and stopped the Chevrolet. 

The Delaware State Trooper then noticed the driver, identified as Bradley Schneider, 38, showing signs of impairment, according to police reports. The trooper reportedly saw a gun and drug paraphernalia in plain view in the truck. Schneider was taken into custody and further search of both the suspect and truck revealed the following, according to police:

-7 baggies containing suspected heroin from Schneider’s person

-Numerous empty baggies in the driver’s side door and center console

-1 cut plastic straw with a white powder residue in the center console

-1 glass bong

-1 digital scale

-1 loaded rifle with the serial number obliterated

-1 loaded revolver

-Multiple rounds of ammunition

Police then learned Schneider is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing a gun or ammunition. He was taken to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $112,640 cash bond on the following charges:

-Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)

-Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited who Possesses a Controlled Substance (Felony) – 2 counts

-Possession of a Weapon with a Removed, Obliterated, or Altered Serial Number (Felony)

-Possession of a Firearm while Under the Influence

-Possession of a Controlled Substance

-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – 4 counts

-Driving Under the Influence of Drug

-Additional Traffic Violations
