Fatal Crash in Stockton

POCOMOKE, Md. - Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal crash that took the life of a New Jersey man and injured a mother and her two young children.

Police say they responded to a crash on Route 113 at Betheden Church Road just after 12:30 a.m. this morning. At the scene, they found a Nissan Rogue had reportedly been traveling south on 113 when it left the roadway for unknown reasons and struck a tree. 

The driver of the vehicle, Alexander Prince, 34, of New Jersey, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The three injured passengers were Vanessa Piquant, 33, of New York, and her two children aged 6 and 8 respectively. The three were taken to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury.

Police say this crash remains under investigation.
