OCEAN VIEW, DE - The Ocean View Police Department has announced the arrest of two people after a K9 search of a car allegedly later led them to discovering heroin in a room with a child.
According to police, police saw Deandre White, 34, of Ocean View driving on Monday, December 18th. Police say they knew White had a suspended license and was wanted for probation violations. An officer and his K9 then scanned White’s car for narcotics, and the K9 alerted the officer of detection. The ensuing search of the vehicle revealed an unspecified amount of heroin and cash, Ocean View Police say.
A search was then conducted at White’s home on Muddy Neck Road at about 5 p.m. Monday night where police say they found more heroin in a room occupied by a child.
Deandre White was taken to Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of $36,410 on the following charges:
-Manufacture / Deliver / Possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance
-Possess/Consume a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance.
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
-Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
-Driving While Suspended or Revoked.
-Three Counts of Violation of Probation
Julie Clemens, 32, also of Ocean View, was charged with the following:
-Possess/Consume a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance
-Endangering the Welfare of a Child
