CAMBRIDGE, Md. - Ophelia and hightides were a perfect storm in Dorchester County.

Hip Roof rd., Hoopers Island, and Cambridge all fell victim to coastal flooding.

On Hip Roof road, during hightide, water looked to be 6 to 12 inches high. Minnows and crabs were seen swimming along the double-yellow lines.

Pictures provided by residents on Hoopers Island shows how houses looked like they were on their own island and how boats were floating almost above pilings.

The waterfront district neighborhood's saw major flooding, as well. Water St. was closed along with several other streets. These areas are some of the lowest lying in the city, but some neighbors says they've never seen it this bad.

Father and son Antwine Ennals and Antwine Ennals Jr. say they couldn't tell where the street met the sidewalk.

Ennals Jr. says. "5 to 10 minutes ago there was a car that had went down the street. The water was so deep it was up to their car doors. I was sitting there like why would you all do that? You all can mess your car up doing that because the water is so deep."

Ennals added, "There's a few blocks behind me. The streets are taken over by water you can't even get down to Great Marsh. There's water everywhere. You don't know where  the river starts and where their yard starts. There's water everywhere.

Low lying areas in Dorchester County taking the biggest hit.
