SEAFORD, Del. - DelDOT says the section of Fleetwood Pond Road between Concord Road and Old Furnace Road will be closed for spillway repair work. The closure and work will begin on Monday, June 15 and will last through Friday, July 15, weather permitting.
The spillway repair work will include bridge deck repairs, joint sealing, and painting.
Officials say northbound motorists will detour by turning right on Baker Mill Road, then left onto Asbury Road, then left again onto Old Furnace Road before arriving back at Fleetwood Pond Road. Southbound motorists will detour onto Old Furnace Road, then right onto Asbury Road, then right again onto Baker Mill Road before arriving back on Fleetwood Pond Road.
