Jana Ruark joined WBOC as a News Producer in July 2021, shortly after graduating from the University of Delaware with a degree in Media Communication and a minor in Journalism. She produces our entirely local 6 p.m. newscast and has won three first-place awards from the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association since joining Delmarva's News Leader.

SUSSEX COUNTY- A few pedestrian crossings at the North Inlet Day Area are closed.
Delaware Seashore State Park officials say the north and middle crossings are closed because of additional erosion caused by the high tide. They say the closure is planned to last throughout the weekend.
This comes on the heels of one environmental group raising concerns over safety in the area.
