Delaware Governor Formally Extends State of Emergency

WILMINGTON, Del.- Gov. John Carney on Friday formally extended the state of emergency declaration in place to limit the spread of COVID-19 in Delaware.

“We are working with communities and the Division of Public Health to prevent the spread of this virus as we prepare for a resurgence," Gov. Carney said. "Wear a face covering and avoid large gatherings. Wash or sanitize your hands frequently. Keep your distance from others outside your household. We’re beating COVID-19, but this fight isn’t over. Let’s not erase the progress we’ve made.”

Under Delaware law, state of emergency declarations must be renewed every 30 days.
