GEORGETOWN, Del.- Authorities are investigating a Thursday morning fire that caused approximately $100,000 in damage to a Georgetown home.
The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal said the fire, reported shortly after 9 a.m., occurred at the home located in the 18000
block of Gravel Hill Road.
The Georgetown Fire Company arrived on the scene and found heavy smoke and flames coming from the structure. Mutual aid fire
companies assisted at the scene.
State fire investigators were called to the scene and performed an investigation to determine the fire’s origin and cause. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire. There were no reported injuries.
