Fire Investigation in Ocean View DE

GREENWOOD, Del.- The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a Tuesday morning fire that heavily damaged a restaurant in Greenwood.

According to fire officials, the fire was reported shortly after 3 a.m. at the Pit Stop Bar and Grill on West Market Street. 

The Greenwood Volunteer Fire Company arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the building, according to officials. More companies came to help get the fire out.

Fire Investigators with the state of Delaware are investigating the fire to determine the origin and cause of the fire.

The State Fire Marshal's Office says fire damage is estimated at $500,000. 

One firefighter was treated for minor injuries.
