Police Arrest Felton Woman on Burglary and Related Charges

FELTON, Del.- Delaware State Police arrested 47-year-old Kaylynn Daniels of Felton on burglary and related charges.

Shortly after 2 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, troopers responded to the 800 block of Willow Grove Road, Felton, for a report of a burglary in progress. 

The investigation revealed Daniels had previously resided at the house and responded to retrieve her property.

Daniels was not granted access into the house and she became upset.

She then pushed in a window air conditioning unit and went inside, police said.

Once inside, Daniels proceeded to kick in a bedroom door to where a 53-year-old woman was located and a fight broke out, according to police. 

Troopers said Daniels then removed her property from the home before fleeing.

The 53-year-old victim was transported to an area hospital to receive treatment for her injuries.

On Oct. 5, Daniels was taken into custody and transported to Troop 3 where she was charged with the following crimes:

  • Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony (felony)
  • Home Invasion-Burglary 1st Degree (felony)
  • Assault 2nd Degree (felony)
  • Criminal Mischief

Daniels was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court #2 and committed on a $6,500 cash bond.
