Suspect Arrested in October Homicide in Dover

DOVER, Del.- Delaware State Police have arrested a man in connection to an October homicide. 

Deon’te Reaves, 21, of Middle River, MD, was arrested Friday and taken to a Baltimore jail. 

The investigation started on October 2 around 7 p.m., when the police were called to the 200-block of David Hall Road for a report of a shooting.

When they arrived troopers found another 21-year-old man from Dover shot dead in a car.

A preliminary investigation found a fight may have occurred between the victim and Reaves before the shooting.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Reaves has been charged with first-degree murder.
