DOVER, Del.- There are now 68 cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus in Delaware, state health officials said Monday morning. Earlier Monday morning, the state was reporting 64 cases.

According to the Delaware Division of Public Health, 44 of the cases are from New Castle County, six are from Kent County, and 18 are from Sussex County.

On Sunday, DPH said six people are currently hospitalized and three are critically ill. To date, there have been no COVID-19 deaths in the state

DPH recommends that if you think you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, or have symptoms of illness, make sure to distance yourself from others, especially vulnerable populations. This includes people 60 years of age and older; people with serious chronic health conditions such as diabetes, lung disease, heart disease; or those who are immunocompromised.

For individuals who are sick, particularly with fever and cough, or shortness of breath, stay home and contact your primary care provider for guidance regarding symptoms and next steps.
