ELKRIDGE, Md. (AP)- Two suspects were wounded following a car chase and shooting involving police officers in Maryland, according to authorities.
Baltimore County police were investigating a shooting that happened Tuesday when they spotted a wanted suspect getting into a vehicle Thursday afternoon, the agency said in a statement.
Officers tried to pull the car over, but it refused to stop and led the investigators on a chase into neighboring Howard County, where the Baltimore County officers fired their weapons, officials said.
Two of the three men in the car were struck, but authorities did not say whether they were wounded by police gunfire or crossfire.
One suspect was arrested at the scene the two others were taken to a hospital, Howard County police said. An update on their conditions was not available Friday.
It was unclear whether any of the suspects were armed or shot at officers. No officers were injured, and Howard County police said none of its officers were involved in the shooting.
