Worcester Co. Sheriff's Office: 772 Calls for Service During Cruisin' OC Weekend

OCEAN CITY, Md.- Car enthusiasts are invited to cruise on down to Ocean City for the 24th Annual Endless Summer Cruisin, Oct. 7-10. 

Car shows and vendors will take place at the Ocean City Convention Center Parking Lot and the Inlet Parking Lot, plus several more car shows will be taking place at various business locations in and around Ocean City.  There will also be a special Neon and LED car show, drive-in movies and pedal car show throughout the weekend.

Special guest scheduled to appear at Endless Summer Cruisin is Jerry Mathers, best known for his role as Beaver Cleaver on the classic show "Leave it to Beaver." Mathers will be at the OC Convention Center on Friday, Oct. 8, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., and at the beachside inlet on Saturday, Oct. 9, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.  Also joining the fun will be Joe Zolper from the hit show "Garage Squad." Zolper will be at the inlet on Friday, Oct. 8, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and at the Ocean City Convention Center on Saturday, Oct. 9, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. 

Some of the country’s top national names will be showcasing their products in manufacturers midway at the Inlet Parking Lot. Additionally, there will be vendors both inside and outside of the Ocean City Convention Center selling automotive merchandise along with arts & crafts, jewelry, T-shirts and many other specialty items. 

Thursday and Friday night cruise down to the inlet parking lot for a Drive-In Movie at 7 p.m.  Thursday night will feature American Graffiti and Friday night Back to the Future will be playing.  While the movie is free to watch please make sure to pay for parking on Friday night.  A special thanks to the movie sponsors: The Dough Roller, Ocean Downs Casino, Worcester County and the Ocean City Hotel Motel Restaurant Association.

Additional Endless Summer Cruisin highlights are the special boardwalk parades that will take place Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings. Staging beings at 27th Street on the boardwalk and the parades begin at 8 a.m. from North Division Street going south to the inlet.

On Sunday the Grand Finale Awards will take place at the Beachside Inlet. Before Endless Summer Cruisin comes to an end there will be more than 500 trophies, plaques and awards presented, plus more than 3,000 giveaways.

IMPORTANT OCEAN CITY ORDINANCES

During Endless Summer Cruisin all Ocean City and Worcester County roads will be designated as a Special Event Zone.  Speed limits will be reduced and fines will be increased. Maryland Motor Vehicle Law and the Town of Ocean City ordinance state that no loud noise from a vehicle may be heard at a distance of 50 feet from the vehicle at any time.

The town of Ocean City has a trailer parking ordinance which prohibits trailer parking on city streets from May 1-Oct. 31. Any Endless Summer Cruisin participants that will be parking a trailer on city streets will need a trailer parking permit. Trailer parking permits are $50 and can be purchased at the event or in advance by mailing in a permit application. Only registered Endless Summer Cruisin participants may purchase a trailer permit. Free trailer parking is available at the route 50 Park & Ride. When making your reservations please check with your hotel or condor to see if they provide trailer parking. Click here to download the trailer permit application.
