SALISBURY, Md .- The 2018 FIFA World Cup continues, today Mexico lost to Sweden but fans here in Delmarva, and all over the world, are still celebrating. Germany lost against South Korea pushing Mexico to the final 16.
The thrilling match kept fans like Maria Leiva and her family on the edge.
"I watch every single game, no matter what happens," says Leiva, who owns rosita's restaurant in Salisbury.
Sweden scored three goals against "El Tri". But, Maria's daughter, Heather Sanchez says that despite the stress, she still looks forward to the world cup every four years.
"Since I was a little girl, my family members come together and we watch the game when we have a chance to just be together. We eat, we cook and we do a lot of stuff just to watch the game," says Heather.
The family says they will continue to support the team when they face Brazil next Tuesday.
