POCOMOKE CITY, Md.- Authorities have determined a house fire in Pocomoke City was intentionally set.
Investigators say the blaze broke out around 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday on 2nd Street. Firefighters observed smoke from the second floor and were on scene for two hours. According to the Pocomoke City Volunteer Fire Company, no one was living in the house at the time of the fire. The Worcester County Fire Marshal's Office says an employee of the property owner was treated for minor injuries.
The Fire Marshal's Office says the house was being renovated when the fire started. It has since been deemed arson.
