SALISBURY, Md.- Since the week of Dec. 21, the Wicomico County Health Department has held 21 vaccination clinics for those individuals listed in Phase 1A and 1B. Throughout these clinics, WiCHD administered the first doses and second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to 4,635 people. Of those vaccinations, 2,036 were administered in the last two weeks alone.

Vaccination efforts continue to prioritize the individuals in 1B and individuals 65+ years within Phase 1C ONLY Email Wicomico.COVIDvax@maryland.gov  and include your age or what phase you fall in and how you qualify for that phase.  The Health Department will email you a link to make an appointment when appointments are available (DO NOT SHARE THE LINK). Please check your email regularly because appointments fill up very fast.   If clinics need to be canceled because of weather it will be announced on media outlets.

In following the State of Maryland’s updated COVID-19 Vaccination Plan, the Wicomico County Health Department will continue to schedule individuals within Phases 1B and 1C (65+ ONLY) such as:

Phase 1B

Phase 1C

·       Individuals 75+

·       Education staff: K-12 teachers, support staff, and child care providers

·       Higher education teachers

·       Individuals 65+

For those with scheduled appointments, bring the following to the vaccination center:

  • Proof of age (Driver's License)  
  • Proof of employment (Wicomico Public Schools ID, Day Care Provider's company letterhead)
  • Assisted Living/Group Homes will be vaccinated on site
  • Government ID
