QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY, Md.- An Anne Arundel County woman has been arrested and charged in connection with an arson fire that destroyed a car in Centreville in 2018.
According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office, Jazmine McGowan, 26, was arrested Monday evening in Annapolis.
McGowan is charged with second-degree arson, second-degree conspiracy to commit arson, malicious burning/fraud, and first-degree conspiracy to commit malicious burning, in connection with a vehicle fire on Ferrick Road in Centreville in May 2018.
Investigators determined the cause to be incendiary. Authorities say the 2007 Lincoln sedan was owned by McGowan.
If convicted, McGowan would face up to 55 years and/or $75,000 in fines.
She is currently released and awaiting her court appearance.
