SALISBURY, MD– The City of Salisbury announced plans to remove speed bumps from its Downtown Parking Garage to improve traffic flow ahead of event season.
Crews will work to remove the speed bumps starting the week of April 21, according to a press release.
The City says speed bumps were installed as a safety measure to slow drivers during the height of the garage's construction. As building nears completion, speed bumps will be replaced with "Reduce Speed" signs to encourage continued caution.
“With safety top of mind, we’re proud to have reached a point where we can prioritize smoother navigation while still ensuring a safe environment for our workers and patrons,” Mayor Randy Taylor said.
